Post 1: Reflection on Reading 3.

*The main Changes should be applied to make CALL normalization:

1-    Using wireless communication because of the low-cost benefits.

2-    jump up to permanent, direct online connections.

3-    Use of portable computing and online devices; such as:  the laptop computer, personal digital assistant, and cellular telephone into powerful handheld computing and (tele)communication devices.

4-    Use broadband technology.

5-    Provide affordable computers and other hardware, first in the developed countries and then in the developing countries

6-    Making the Internet services accessible to most of the planet.

7-    Develop communications to audiovisual forms of information, and facilitate new technology by knowing what the market need and demand, for example the growing popularity of digital photography, home video production, and the increasing trend for Internet news sites to offer multimedia presentations of news.

8-    Internet use will be multilingual instead of English as the main online language. At the same time, this will create a situation of diglossia, where people using their native languages for local or regional communication and commerce and use English for international communication and commerce on the Internet.

9-    Expose individuals to new technology revealed tremendous transformation of “non-native” to “native” users of information technology. Children who grow up with computers and the Internet will be able to access information and communicate online with “native-like” fluency.

10-  Radical solution to provide computers and other online devices not only in language laboratory, also should be found in every classroom in developed countries.

These changes and means could be applied to our Saudi context. The Possibility of Reaching Bax’s Normalization in our Saudi context. It is possible because Saudi Arabia on of lead countries interested in energy and technology, and they have the resources and the financial fund, and the ministry of Education always been eager to raise the student level in all different aspects of his educational journey, therefore they made a long term plan and started applying this new method in certain schools then correct or make some changes from the feedback to make fit in our schools . It is possible  when it could be from the first grade at school, as we can see technology is more accessible and much easier for all ages now days.

Reached first by spread awareness on the great benefits by using the computer in classrooms how faster and more professional would be, also provide training courses to the teachers and be more familiar with computer terms.  Achieved they are already started to apply this new way in learning but in a narrow level. It will be from my point of view has a positive and negative aspect:

1-The positive side will be the intellectual progress of students, fast access to information, not having to carry books a day, direct contact with faculty members and presence of internal communication network between students.

2- The negative side, students will depend on a single source of information without search to anther information source, inaccuracy of information on the Internet, The possibility of using computers in offensive context.
